Luxury Villa, Porto

This design study explores a contemporary luxury villa rooted in the Portuguese landscape and way of living. Architecture, interiors, and outdoor spaces are conceived as a continuous sequence, shaped by light, proportion, and material restraint.

Natural stone, warm timber, textured plaster, and generous glazing define the architectural language. Interior spaces open fluidly to terraces, courtyards, and the pool, allowing daily life to extend outdoors while maintaining intimacy and calm. Traditional Portuguese elements—arches, shaded outdoor rooms, and thick material edges—are reinterpreted through a modern, disciplined framework.

Rather than relying on ornament or excess, the project focuses on atmosphere: soft transitions, filtered daylight, and a palette that feels timeless and grounded. Each space is designed to support living, gathering, and retreat, reflecting Ana & Co.’s approach to Portuguese luxury as quiet, enduring, and deeply connected to place.

The villa is organized around light, proportion, and material honesty. Interior spaces open naturally to terraces, courtyards, and the pool, allowing daily life to extend outdoors while remaining protected and calm. Traditional Portuguese elements—arches, natural stone, timber beams, and textured plaster—are reinterpreted through a refined, modern lens.

Rather than relying on ornament, the project emphasizes atmosphere: filtered daylight, soft transitions, and a restrained palette of natural materials. Each space is designed to feel timeless, livable, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

This study reflects Ana & Co.’s approach to luxury in Portugal: quiet, grounded, and enduring—architecture that supports living rather than performing.
